Teagan was raised in dance studios and theaters by performing art nerds. She started dance lessons at age 2, and is trained in ballet, tap, modern, and jazz. As a teenager, Teagan began teaching and choreographing for several age groups, across dance styles. Most recently, she helped choreograph "Boldly Go!" a Star Trek parody musical at Caltech, along with Dr. Crystal Dilworth and Noel Dilworth.

Also at Caltech, Teagan appeared as Elena in "Vavilov's Garden," Mephistopheles in "Faustus, PhD," and "Narrator" in a reading of "Alice Through the Wormhole," all science driven plays presented as part of the Mach 33 festival. She served as crew on "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Rent".
